Rhythm Kids offers a wide variety of music classes for all ages. Whether it's the internationally celebrated Music Together program or the unique classes that we have developed, you will find a class close by or near enough to get busy playing! And if there is not a class in your area, no worries, we can build one together. Here are our class offerings and some we are developing: 

• Music Together is recognized as of the pioneer amongst early childhood music education programs and offers several things that make it an international sensation. Our owners, Tom & Deb Foote, took Music Together with our children and were completely impressed with the diversity of musical styles, rhythmic depth, emphasis on music modes and tonalities--and this is for 6 month - 4 year olds we thought! Hands down, this is the best music program around. It is a flexible program, non-performance-based and child centered (we look for ways to include kids and imitate what they do within or classes). Many parents comment that they developed a stronger bond with their child, made lasting friendships with other families in the program and look forward to the days when they go to music class! The program includes two CD's and a songbook each session.

• Drum Like An Animal was developed by Tom Foote after enough parents "nudged" him to start a drumming program for preschoolers. The program was developed in 2008 after Tom came out with his CD with the same name (check it out--it's was nominated for a Nickelodeon Parent's Pick Award and received stellar comments in Library Journal & CD Baby). So, now children ages 3-5 learn rhythms via Tom unique "animal drum" style. The program includes a Drum Like An Animal CD (first session only), a corresponding animal T-Shirt and online video instruction.

• Rhythm Kids is Tom's long-running program he created for older children, ages 5-10, who were losing interest in music. By combining a wide variety of activities with his totally cool drumming method, thousands of students have regained an interest in drumming, multicultural activities and fun games. Kids are learning so much more than music in this class--the are creating, developing self-confidence, learning to listen and be active participants in their own musical development. This drumming program is ideal for families who truly understand the value of keeping children engaged in music, movement and the creative process.

• Rumble Drums is a program that will be piloting this Fall for older children (10 and older) on Stomp-style percussion instruments (Barrels, buckets, pots, pan and more). Children will begin to learn proper stick technique and get a solid dose of FUN each week as they learn a more modern approach to drums & percussion. We have already been teaching this in schools and at camps, but feel that a students will benefit quite a bit from a more structured approach.

• Private Lessons are offered by many of our instructors and guest artists. We offer lessons on guitar, beginning piano, voice, flute and percussion. 

Build-A-Class: We are growing, but we are not everywhere just yet, and today's families have hectic schedules, but still want their child to enjoy a drumming class with their friends. Many families have built a class that works for their schedule with a group of interested friends (maybe from preschool or school). Gather around six to ten interested children and have a family host the class at home (or rotate to different homes). You can Contact Us to get things started. Training Programs are available for those interesting in utilizing the Rhythm Kids curriculum materials in a school classroom or in an after-school setting. Our training programs are held in Massachusetts, but with enough interest and registrations, we will bring the training to you.
